ABOUT INDIAN TRAILS
Built on 166 acres near the banks of the Elkhorn River, Indian Trails Country Club
has a rich history. What hasn't changed through the years, from the time of the first building on
the property to present day, is that Indian Trails has been a place for people to come together
and enjoy themselves.
Club History
In 1868, a pastor established a church and parsonage on the bluff just west of the current driving
range. He befriended the Omaha Indians and soon members of the Omaha Tribe visited the pastor
frequently. In doing so, they created a trail which became an established route from the river
valley to the parsonage.
Hence, the name Indian Trails.
The Cuming County Recreational Association was founded in 1963 and later became the Indian
Trails Country Club. Construction on the Restaurant and Lounge building was completed in 1964 and
the Clubhouse was completed in 1966.
